The term "digitized" refers to the areas that are circumscribed by the polygons (i.e. boundaries or closed, zero-width polylines), circles, squares, rectangles, solids, outlines, polyline and trace widths, etc. within the drawing file.  Whether the image or part (i.e. the object) is drawn or everything but the image or part (i.e. the field) is drawn has no bearing whatsoever on this definition.

The above descriptions apply only to the finished product as specified on the order form, whether it is an emulsion-on-polyester PHOTOPLOT or a chrome-on-glass Contact or Direct-Write PHOTOMASK.  (Intermediate steps, such as the master photoplots used for our Contact PHOTOMASKS, will have the opposite parity/orientation as the final product.)
